My Dreams, And Myself.

So I figured I would introduce my blog by talking about myself. Usually fun to do, though I don’t like to talk about myself much. I usually try to get other people to do that.

Soo… let us start. My name is Jamie. My birthday is on december second. I also play guitar. On Sundays, I run sound for the children’s church at my church. Which I also do on some Wednesdays for the youth group.

About one or two weeks ago in the childrens church. The pastor was talking about dreams to the kids, God given dreams. He made a point that a dream sometimes is something you will recieve, but then lose after time. Now, a God given dream would be something that would last forever. I began to think about that a few days later (at the time I was just there was listening but wasn’t truely thinking about it). I know I have had hundreds of dreams since I was a kid. Two of which have stuck with me till today.

One, is to become a game designer and programmer. Video games fascinate me in several ways. The complexity of the games being released now is just amazing (well for most of them anyways). Independent developers are usually more brilliant that several commercial companies. People like Petri Purho, are just brilliant. I want to be able to make games for people to enjoy.

My second dream is to be able to play in the youth band at my church. It was always sort of a ‘I want to be like my brother’ thing.  The childrens church pastor has been wanting to get a band for the kids for years now. Literally, I started running sound when I first heard the idea. I wanted in, even if I just started guitar. It wasn’t until recently (last Sunday actually) that I heard we might be getting something together for a service later in August.

Those dreams have stuck with me for quite some time. After a while, I had some doubt, but it always seems to be what I dream of. I’ll keep you updated on how developement goes on the thing in August (Just got to get with the pastors son and keep bugging him about it and I’m sure we can put something together then)

Thanks for stopping by.
